Evolution of the Speed of Transmission and Texture of the Sound
The USB Cable series which has been highly acclaimed has been further improved by upgrading the shielding from PE to a fluorine resin and the damping material from cotton to pure natural silk. The result is an extreme improvement of the non-dielectric constant which leads to a further evolution of the transmission speed and texture of the sound. Apart from a solid single-core PCOCC-A conductor, there is 100% shielding by the use of a copper-foil shield. We also have made use of a Carbon SF tube which blocks exterior and radiated noise, plus an anti-vibration USB plug made from a solid block of 2017S air craft grade aluminum alloy as in the original models. In conventional USB cables the signal line and power supply line are installed together in parallel. Audiophiles know that the radiated noise of power cables affects signal cables and damages sound quality when a signal cable and a power cable are installed in parallel or come into contact with each other. Nevertheless, most USB cables available on the market do not take any measures to counteract these problems. Furthermore, the power supply lines in USB cables transmit a large amount of ‘noise’ that is generated by the P/C (computer). This ‘noise’ seriously degrades the quality of the transmitted signal greatly reducing the quality of sound. Attempts to internally shield one cable from the other is not effective in avoiding influences from the power line to the signal line. Some high-end USB cables made by audio cable manufacturers have independently shielded signal line and power lines, however, these two lines are in close proximity in the same cable and its shielding effect is very limited.
World's First Perfectly Separated and Independent Signal Line and Power Supply Line
We took the initiative by developing the USB-1.0SP and USB-1.0PL equipped with two independent cables consisting of a two-core shielding structure with a 100% shielding effect obtained by using a copper foil. This was the only USB cable which wass successful in stopping noise interaction between the power and signal lines. As a result it won great popularity. Now, we have made further improvements on USB-1.0SP and USB-1.0PL and have released the upgraded USB-1.0SPS and USB-1.0PLS models. Further Improvements with Dual A-Plugs
We can obtain further improvements in sound quality by employing two A-Plugs to separate the Signal and power lines from the output terminals. A Very Thick 0.8Φ PCOCC-A Solid Core Conductor is Used, Fully Exploiting the Limits of USB Connectors
The USB-1.0SP and USB-1.0PL USB cables are equipped with a very thick 0.8Φ Solid single-core PCOCC-A conductor (the highest diameter USB cable currently available) to achieve an overwhelming Dynamic range and Frequency range that was previously impossible. The purity of PCOCC-A (annealed PCOCC which does not have crystal grain) exceeds the high purity coppers such as 6N and its overwhelming conductivity is far superior. We also applied PCOCC-A as a solid single-core to avoid stray current (strand jumping phenomenon) and to achieve accurate digital transmission, resulting in a clear and blur-less sound image, wide and deep sound field with accurate phase and a full three-dimensional acoustic field. Original USB plug machined from a solid block of 2017S air craft grade aluminum alloy to improve vibration control. Outer shielding with Carbon SF tube to quell exterior noise, radiated noise generated by other cables and the electrostatic charge of the cable itself, leading to a perfect separation of the signal line and power supply line. The connection between cable and USB plug is made with a high grade solder for audio use. It is not possible to use this grade of solder with conventional molded USB cables.
